Virtual Lifestyle Coach
3D Generalist / Task Lead
Virtual Lifestyle Coach was a 3D mobile app that used game elements to help soldiers maintain a healthy body weight after leaving active service. Players explored a sci-fi themed facility guided by a character called The Coach, moving from room to room to complete mini-games and activities designed to teach healthy habits. The app combined gamification with real-world psychology to encourage sustainable behavior change and ran smoothly on both mobile phones and iPads.
As a 3D Generalist and Task Lead, I built environments, props, and interactive UI elements while ensuring performance on mobile devices. I focused on making each room intuitive and readable, so players could understand goals and interactions without confusion. I also collaborated closely with psychologists and Subject Matter Experts, turning their research and ideas into actionable game mechanics, mini-games, and feedback systems. Human-Computer Interaction principles guided my design choices, making the app approachable, engaging, and easy to navigate.
